Nowplayingaustin.com to provide dynamic events content to serve the city’s arts community.
AUSTIN – February 22, 2007 –Austin Circle of Theaters (ACoT), a non-profit performing arts service organization based in Austin, Texas, today announced the launch of a comprehensive online events calendar, nowplayingaustin.com.
“We are thrilled to be at the forefront of offering such a great resource for visitors and residents to find out about everything that’s going on in Austin and Central Texas,” said Latifah Taormina, executive director, Austin Circle of Theaters. “It’s great to have a one-stop ticketing and information center for arts, sports, and other activities. By having all the event information in one place — and by not having a lot of ads all over the page — we hope to make it easier for people to get out and experience the wide range of entertainment that Austin has to offer.”
Nowplayingaustin.com offers the largest database of area Arts and Cultural events, including sports and recreational events, as well as additional listings of classes and workshops, jobs, auditions, organizations, venues, public art, and individual artists. Powered by Silicon Valley's highly successful Artsopolis Marketing Partnership with content management provided by Seattle's BeDynamic, the calendar offers comprehensive one-stop ticketing and information services to residents and visitors alike for arts, sports, and cultural activities in Central Texas.
“As a non-profit organization, our resources are limited in being able to track and manage arts and cultural information in a timely manner,” said Taormina. “BeDynamic takes the time and expense out of managing, sorting, and integrating destination content, enabling us to focus on our core business.”
Both local and national talents are working on the events calendar to ensure the ongoing depth and accuracy of content. BeDynamic® will be handling the content management for ACoT, while AMP will provide the software to power the online calendar. Austin is one of nine regions in the country to license this dynamic software. Other Artsopolis Network members include: San Jose, CA; Riverside, CA; Phoenix, AZ; Houston, TX; Denver, CO; St. Joseph County, IN; Grand Forks, ND; and Greensboro, NC.
BeDynamic Inc., provides the travel and tourism industry with a single-source solution for capturing and managing up-to-date destination information.
